Debra Janicki graduated from Michigan State University College of Law in 2007, which she attended on a full merit scholarship. During law school, Debra served as an Associate Editor for the Law Review and was a member of the American Constitution Society. She received numerous awards, including first place in the Law Review's Best Brief Competition and the Jurisprudence Award for receiving the highest grade in the class for Research, Writing and Advocacy. Prior to law school, Debra graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan in 2004. Debra began as a law clerk at our firm in 2005, when she was in her second year of law school. Following her graduation from law school, she began working on our firm's class action lawsuits, including those brought against for-profit schools. She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and is active in the Oakland County Bar Association, where she currently serves as a director of the New Lawyers Committee.
